Dylan Dog undertakes a new mission and ends up with plenty of nasty surprises. There's zombies aplenty. Of course, there's also a very beautiful woman involved here. There's an evil cult up to no good. There's even the Grim Reaper himself. And there's a resurrected Groucho Marx. Will Dylan save the day? And can he save and win the girl?

A True Labor Of Love

Okay, I admit that I didn't get all of the plot details about La Morte Puttana due to the language barrier. After all it was all in Italian. But it was sure as hell fun to watch. Denis Frison and company obviously possess a great love of this character to make an over 2 hour movie about it. There's all kinds of crazy stuff in here. I loved the resurrected Groucho Marx. I wonder how many young viewers even know who he is. The zombies were well done. I also appreciated how they zombies were kept in the dark so the lack of extensive make-up could be hidden. The acting was good. The cult leader did look evil with his blue KKK outfit. Although, as so often happens in low budget films where someone wears a hood, they have to engage in directing an orchestra since no one can see their faces. The Grim Reaper was quite a hoot as well. La Morte Puttana was actually better than the American big budget version. I give La Morte Puttana a rating of 6 out of 10.
