A young woman who appears to be a zombie sits with a gun in a room full of corpses. Cara Carter describes how her father, Dr. Ben Carter, decided to bring his dead wife back from the dead. Naturally, in the process of trying out his formula he manages to create a ton of zombies. His daughter gets exposed to the drug, but it has an unusual effect on her as she retains her intelligence and emotions. Of course, the zombie plague soon starts to spread. The bites, quite naturally, are infectious. With law enforcement seemingly hopeless dumb, is there any hope of survival?

A Bombshell Blast Of A Great Time

Bombshell Bloodbath unashamedly pays tribute to the glorious Italian zombie films of the 1970s and 1980s. It perfectly captures the feeling of those films, almost better than any other zombie film I've seen. I couldn't blame someone for things Bombshell Bloodbath came from Italy itself. It's that damn good. The movie has just enough of a rough, grindhouse feel to it to make it look like a Fulci or Lenzi effort. The music sounds as if Goblin themselves had provided the soundtrack. The plot is utter nonsense, but that fits right into the whole Italian zombie film genre. The make-up stands out and will be appreciated by any zombie movie fan. Definitely worth of Fulci himself. Bombshell Bloodbath is also right in there with the goriest of the gory films from Italy. The excellent blood and gore splatter all over the place. I did mention the zombie make-up was great, although there was one scene early on where you could see the flesh around the zombie's neck line. Perhaps a tribute to that trashterpiece Zombie Lake? Bombshell Bloodbath stands as an excellent horror movie and a fantastic tribute to those great Italian horror films of yesteryear. I had a great time watching it. Break out Bombshell Bloodbath 2, 3 and 4. I give Bombshell Bloodbath a rating of 9 out of 10.
