It Grew On Me And I'm Sure I won't Be Alone On That

Alone has a genuinely interesting twist on the typical zombie story. I liked how they had the idea of adults being zombies, and kids being normal. The kids were alright, but a sense of pervasive doom hangs over them. I also appreciated that the movie was filmed in English even though it was a French and Spanish co-production. Alone did start out slows, but that allows for some character development and in a movie that is also a drama you want that, unlike a crazed action POV movie like Dead Rush. The action does pick way up in the second half. There's lots of really good stuff in here. The make-up is very well done. There's lots of effective dark and gloomy imagery. A very powerful ending also helps out. I give Alone a rating of 7 out of 10.
