Feels Like Italy All Over Again

Nathan Millner does a great job with making A Wish For The Dead, creating quite a few likeable characters and tapping into the old school Italian zombie movie feel. A Wish For The Dead switches around to a POV movie a number of times, so it never gets dull. There were a few silly parts to it. For example, it's hard to believe that John would trust someone who looks like The Man. But I guess grief could easily do that to a person. The wish itself is incredibly badly worded. I must admit there's a lot of death in this small town. That morgue was really very, very full. And they don't do a very good job of maintaining or preserving the bodies. The make-up could have been more extensive on some parts of the bodies. But it did remind me so much of the classic Italian zombie films. A Wish For The Dead is a lot of fun to watch. And there's a lot of great blood and gore scenes to boot. I give A Wish For The Dead a rating of 7 out of 10.
