Story:
Years ago, Dr. Frankenstein created a monster without a soul, an action which ultimately cost him greatly. The monster killed him and the notes on reanimation disappeared. Efforts have been made to duplicate his work. And these efforts led to the creation of soulless zombies. These zombies are able to be controlled, and work in such areas as manual labor or soldiers. John Watson wants to bring his friend, Friday, back to life with her soul intact. He is caught and recruited by British Secret Service. He soon finds himself on a voyage to Afghanistan where he allies himself with the Russians against a multi-national conspiracy to find Victor's notes. How is the original Frankenstein's Monster involved here? The plan also involves turning all the reanimated zombies into the flesh-eating kind. Can the world be saved? Is there a way to restore souls? How much will the world change?

A Truly Great Empire

Empire of Corpses is one of those projects I had heard about for awhile, and very much been looking forward to watching. The storyline here works quite well, being adapted from the manga. I liked how the story was very detailed. I also liked how it folded in other famous stories, such as James Bond, Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes, The Man Who Would Be King, etc. In other words, there are a lot of references to other works in here. I liked how the zombies can eat flesh, but aren't necessarily driven to do so. The battle between the British and Russian zombie armies was very cool. There was a lot of originality in here. The animation was great. The voice acting was top notch. Empire Of Corpses was one hell of a great zombie anime movie. How about a live action version? I give Empire Of Corpses a rating of 8 out of 10.
