There's some truly nasty tequila going around that has some worms in it that transform people into flesh-eating zombies when they get inside. But there is a way to get them out. A group of people in a bar must now deal with their own potential deaths. Will any of them manage to survive?

If Only The Movie Wasn't So Rotten

I have always liked Billy Garberina's films until Rotgut. Rotgut could have been a lot of fun. The potential is there. You could have had a crazy-ass creature feature. But we don't get that here. The DVD describes the film as an action-packed zombie movie full of cheesy creature effects. Unfortunately, that description must have belonged to another film because it sure wasn't this one. Instead, it's almost a full hour of talk at the bar where things unfold. Watching people talk in a bar in what is supposed to be a zombie movie is very dull as the people talk and talk and talk and talk and talk some more. And then, for variety's sake, they talk some more. The topics of conversation aren't even interesting. The pacing here is terrible. The movie is horrendously boring. The characters aren't interesting enough to listen to them talk. And there's nowhere near enough action to make this film worth watching. Things pick up a little bit at the end, but that's far too little, far too late. The last moments of the film show what it could have been, but it never got there. Hopefully, Billy Garberina will get back to being good in the near future. I give Rotgut a rotten rating of 3 out of 10.
