bad wolves zombie album – Name That Tune Tommy Vext (Bad Wolves) Vs. Diamante

He appears as a sheep, but he is still a wolf. This band’s gloriously unpredictable musical diversity defies the convenience of categorization that the modern world demands. He is dangerous, mean, and aggressive.

bad wolves tour setlist 2019 – Tommy Vext, Bad Wolves

BAD WOLVESConsisting of of vocalist Tommy Vext, drummer John Boecklin, guitarist Doc Coyle, guitarist Chris Cain, and bassist Kyle Konkiel. The tour-and-Youtube life are not all Sham Pain wishes and caviar dreams, unfortunately. Vocalist Tommy Vext had to give up a lot to hit the road. Road life is definitely hard and when all the money is doled out to the managers, promoters, venues, crew, and who knows what else, there might not be much left. Hopefully Mastodon can spare one of their tour buses for a while.

Yes, she’s doing it with us tonight and every night for the rest of our lives! (laughter) It seems to be the case. Yeah, she’s an Eleven Seven partner. They presented the idea of her singing a song with us. The song was already recorded, but Tommy always thought a female voice would be good on it. He had been searching for a bit, and then she kind of presented herself through management, ‘cause she’s on the same label as us. So all this kind of stuff worked out. Now we’re with her on tour, she was able to do those Five Finger dates, and her record just dropped. I think it’s called Coming in Hot.” Check it out.

Bad Wolves will continue on with their What’s In Your Head tour through Oct. 13 with label mates Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin and Nothing More. Vext recently revealed that BAD WOLVES have recorded another cover, following the band’s massive breakout success last year with its rendition of the 1993 CRANBERRIES classic “Zombie”.

DevilDriver is an American heavy metal band from Santa Barbara , California , formed in 2002, consisting of vocalist Dez Fafara (the only remaining original member), guitarists Mike Spreitzer and Neal Tiemann, drummer Austin D’Amond, and bassist Diego “Ashes” Ibarra. The band was originally named Deathride, however, due to copyright issues and the name being taken by several bands (such as Death Ride 69 and Deathriders ), the band changed its name to DevilDriver.

Snot is an American metal band from Santa Barbara, California Formed in 1995, the band released their debut studio album Get Some with founding vocalist Lynn Strait in 1997 and disbanded after his death in 1998. In 2008, the band reformed, with Vext on vocals. 12 Snot has played a number of shows fronted by Vext, including a fall 2008 tour in the United States, supporting DevilDriver When later original guitarist Sonny Mayo left the band, Snot went on hiatus again.

Zombie is out now and available on both iTunes and Spotify. The single is taken from Bad Woves’ upcoming debut album Disobey, which is released on 11 May. Bad Wolves are currently on tour with Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria. They’ll hit the road with Five Finger Death Punch and Three Days Grace starting in November.

In 2019 Five Finger Death Punch teamed up with Brantley Gilbert , Brian May of Queen and Kenny Wayne Shepherd to re-record a new version of Shepherd’s song “Blue On Black”. All proceeds from the recording is donated to First Responders via The Gary Sinise Foundation.

While the band was processing their shock over the terrible news, they had to decide if they wanted to push forward with their cover, or to set it aside out of respect for the dead. “There was honestly a big meeting, because we almost shelved the song. We didn’t know what to do with it,” Vext says. However, after consulting with Waite, Bathory and label founder Allen Kovac – who had served as The Cranberries’ manager around the original release of “Zombie” – the band decided to release the song, and to donate portions of the proceeds to ‘Riordan’s family. “That was kind of how we tried to make a positive situation out of such a tragic one,” the frontman relates.

A Los Angeles, California-based heavy metal outfit with an impressive hard rock pedigree, Bad Wolves employ a lethal blend of melody and might that invokes names like Meshuggah , Mudvayne , and Sevendust They gained mainstream attention in 2018 with their cover of the Cranberries ‘ “Zombie,” released soon after vocalist Dolores ‘Riordan ‘s death.

The connection that people have to this song, the stories, the memories and the kids who are hearing this song through Bad Wolves for the first time — it’s a true testament to the timelessness of their mother’s songwriting that will live on forever, and we are so grateful to be able to do this for them,” he continued.

The album reached number 23 on the US Billboard 200 In May 2017, Bad Wolves released their debut single, “Learn to Live”. 25 In November 2017, Bad Wolves released their second single, “Toast to the Ghost”. 23 On January 18, 2018, they released a third single, which was a cover of ” Zombie ” (originally by The Cranberries ), which charted on multiple Billboard charts 26 27 The night of her death, Dolores ‘Riordan left a voice message to her friend, record label executive Dan Waite, where she offered to “sing on it” on the cover that Waite had previously given ‘Riordan to listen to and accredit. TMZ published this voice message on April 05, 2018 28 A music video was released on February 22. The song topped the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, while the music video was viewed more than 170 million times. The single is certified platinum in Canada and the United States and gold in Germany.

I play music in my office as I work. I have a variety of songs depending upon what I am doing. There is an old song that has resurfaced recently and I play a lot. The song is Little Red Riding Hood.” I first heard that song in the late ’60’s by the Royal Guardsmen, the group that gave us all those songs about Snoopy and the Red Baron. I had forgotten about that song until it was played recently in the background of a car commercial. Laura Gibson is the singer and she does a great job. The song portrays the big bad wolf singing to little red riding hood. The wolf is trying to con little Red. There are a couple of intriguing lines in the song.

In 2008, the band reformed, with former Divine Heresy singer Tommy “Vext” Cummings on vocals. 9 Tommy Cummings and Sonny Mayo left the band, and a new band, “Tons”, was formed in 2009 with a new vocalist. They recorded three new songs titled “Ability & Control”, “1000 Ways of Pain” and “Fan the Flames” 10 before members of the group moved on to new projects.

But then there’s songs like Remember When” and Hear Me Now,” where correct, that is 100 percent honest, you can’t overplay those songs. The songs are simple themselves, and they’re rock ballads, so to speak. We just chose a simple direction to really drive home a point.

Zoltan and I have known each other for a long time. Everyone in our band has been in different bands that opened for Five Finger Death Punch. I played him some stuff about a year and a half ago and showed him one of our unreleased videos, and he was like, These are all of my friends! When did you guys start a band with all of my friends?” Then he asked, Who is managing you?” I said, You are!” (Laughs) He and the Five Finger guys have been hugely helpful in giving us opportunities to go on these amphitheater and arena tours, which most new bands would never get. I think the creative direction is different having a manager who is also a successful artist, because we speak the same language. He understands how import it is to have integrity in your art, and he understands that we‘re going to be who we are and not change.

During the fall, Bad Wolves enjoyed an arena tour in support of Five Finger Death Punch, and Coyle explains how he had absolute confidence that his behemoth EVH setup would always be dialed in and ready for action when called to duty.

They felt releasing it may be bad for their image as they didn’t want to make it look like they were capitalizing on ‘Riordan’s death. In 2018, a cover version by Bad Wolves was released. Official music video for ‘Zombie’ by Bad Wolves.

Just such a huge influx of friends that are wherever they are. (laughs) Friends in bands or whatever. Maria Brink just texted me the other night—she’s in In This Moment—she was on the way to the movies—”You’re on the radio!” Just a lot of that stuff. A lot of high school friends coming out of the woodwork now, wanting to come say hi. To be honest, most of your friends, they’re not hardcore heavy metal (fans). They were supportive but not completely a real fan of what I used to do, and I think a lot of them actually really like this stuff.

It was like summer camp for rockers! I brought an actual Olympic gym on tour, and we set it up every morning, and you would see guys from all the bands working out on the gear. It was such a great tour. The vibes were so good, and the bands were so great. We were the new kids on the bock, and everybody embraced us.

Vext met John Boecklin through an inner music circle. Tommy, formerly a member of Snot and Divine Heresy , and John, being the former drummer for DevilDriver , were in pursuit of new horizons. The pair recruited players they both respected and liked, and a band of brothers with an impressive metal pedigree quickly came to be – lead guitarist Doc Coyle (ex- God Forbid ), rhythm guitarist Chris Cain (ex- Bury Your Dead ), and bassist Kyle Konkiel (ex- In This Moment ).

Originally scheduled to feature a guest appearance from late CRANBERRIES frontwoman Dolores ‘Riordan, “Zombie” launched shortly after her death in January of 2018 and went on to top the rock radio chart and sell a million copies.

We’re already six songs into the new record. We’re workaholics! I’m in Australia visiting my girlfriend, and some of the guys went into studio last week and sent me three of the six new songs. We’re go to head to Europe and the U.K. to tour and then have two weeks off. Then, we’ll go back into the studio in L.A. and do vocals and more instrumentals. Hopefully, a new album will be out by next summer.
