That is Underwood’s realm today. She’s occupying the throne not only with her songs and ability to sing them, but with a show that’s going to be hard for an artist of any genre to match.

One pad the 36-year-old singer — who won American Idol” in 2005 and is currently belting out her greatest hits on her Cry Pretty 360 Tour, which wraps later this month — eyed was a gut-renovated townhouse at 315 E. 18th St., our spies say.
Missed both opening acts because of seat changes at stadium. However no mention of this issue two days prior to event when received tickets on phone. Sat down just in time for Carries entrance. Went to her last concert and loved it. This time around the acoustics were so loud you couldn’t hear the backup singer and they had to crank Carries voice up to be heard. Left with ringing ears despite protection. Waaay to loud for no purpose. It loses something when they have to fight vocals with instruments.
This is not to imply that Carrie Underwood doesn’t deserve it. As we’ve seen of the last few years, fair or not, the CMA Entertainer of the Year has become a touring award. After taking a couple of years off to give birth to her second child, Underwood’s current tour has spanned the CMA’s eligibility period almost perfectly, and concludes later this month. And like both Miranda Lambert and the ads promoting Carrie Underwood as the best candidate for the award tout, she’s sold out some major venues during this awards cycle. Her touring purse doesn’t top all others in country, but it is solid, bringing in an estimated $50 million total over the tour, an average of $898,000 dollars a night, and 11,022 tickets per event.
As an ice hockey player, Mike Fisher’s schedule required him to go on the road on his quest to snag a Stanley Cup. With Underwood slammed with a touring schedule of her own, this meant the couple spent a lot of time apart. Even though she told The Guardian she loves being alone, a source told InTouch Weekly the singer was in dire need of more quality time. “They’ve only been on a couple of vacations together in the seven years they’ve been married,” the source dished.
She has received many awards and nominations for her music. Among 170 worldwide awards, Underwood has won seven Grammy Awards and in 2007 became the second Country artist in history to win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Her album Carnival Ride, became her first of three straight to chart at No. 1 in the U.S. Play On (2009) and Blown Away (2012).

During an April 2013 interview with People , Underwood admitted that although they were finally based in the same state, they still spent an enormous amount of time apart. At the time of the interview, she revealed she hadn’t seen him in a week due to her long tour schedule and his busy hockey season. Despite their separation, she was determined to keep their union afloat. “You just have to commit and make it work,” she said.
I can honestly say it was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. Carrie out did herself in her performance. The only thing I did not like which I was very disappointed was where the hanging flood lights. They where in the way of seeing the screen which was very disappointing. Other wise her concert was magnificent. Her costumes exchanges where fantastic and how fast it was done. I would like to go again and I am hoping those flood lights will not be in the way. Maybe someone should go to the top rows and just see what I am talking about. Can not wait to see her again. I hope she gets award for best artist of the year. Carrie you so deserve that award.
Look, it’s a prediction and I may be totally wrong. But I honestly don’t think that Eric Church is even a contender. I appreciate that his fans hope and want him to win, and I agree he’s put together a strong year. But I’m just seeing all the stars align for Carrie. Also, I’m basing the fact that Eric doesn’t even really care about Entertainer of the Year on his own words. I’d have to hunt for the interviews, but on numerous occasions after he’s won Album of the Year, he’s said that is what he cares about because it’s a creativity award, not a popularity award. I’m paraphrasing obviously. I think if someone told Eric they’re voting for him for Entertainer, he would tell them to save that vote, and and vote Album of the Year instead.
Seven-time Grammy winner and Pollstar’s three-time top female country touring artist, Carrie Underwood, will bring The Cry Pretty Tour 360 to American Airlines Center on September 24, 2019. She will be joined by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.
Underwood’s concert drew nearly 12,000 people to the arena, not quite a sellout, but a very strong performance – especially in light of other shows, like that in St. Louis a few nights early where parts of the arena’s upper level were curtained off.
That’s because she is the ONLY female of that level in Country right now, they have no females to pick from to give awards too. Carrie is NOT country she is pop.
As if it weren’t sentimental enough, what made Miranda‘s words even more special is the fact that she and Carrie are technically still “competitors” at the 2019 show: The two singers are both nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.
That was a concert highlight – as was Runaway Jane’s harmony-filled performance of Blue Roses” the title cut of their forthcoming album. But it also made a strong yet subtle point that women have long been top country artists and are now being, to some measure, overlooked.
The Carrie Underwood Tour 2019 will launch in May with a show at the Greensboro Coliseum. Underwood will tour through October, with a Halloween night performance at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
I have seen Carrie’s show six times from May-Sept. Each show has been very similar, but it’s so perfect there’s no need to change things. She has had enough spontaneity, but the slick production matches her style. I consider shows from people like Garth, Church, Chesney (I know not nominated) to be more of an event, while Carrie puts on more of a performance. I don’t know if the difference can be easily described, but one is more about energy while the other is about pure talent. Both styles are great, but I’d vote for Carrie this time around.
Carrie Underwood singing the national anthem before a National Hockey League playoff game is a good luck charm for her husband’s Nashville Predators, but one time last year, it was more meaningful for her son.
The Cry Pretty Tour 360 stage is shaped like a giant eye and features 15 elevators that all move in time to Underwood’s catalogue of hits, making navigating the curving walkways an impressive feat even when not wearing heels.
Yes, when you attend a Carrieunderwood concert, you want to sit down and enjoy every moment, it’s more family oriented. Her voice is to die for and all of her concert reviews are great. My thought is you are not a fan.
As a result the singer became highly acclaimed and received an intimidatingly-high number of coveted awards including Single Record of the Year for Jesus, Take the Wheel” from the Academy of Country Music, a Dove Award from the Gospel Music Association and five trophies courtesy of the Billboard Music Awards among many others. Into 2007 the singer was still releasing singles from her debut album including Wasted” and after a couple of Grammy wins the same year she issued her sophomore release Carnival Ride” in October 2007.

The tour has been a tribute of sort to women in country music. Underwood’s opening acts are Runaway June, an all-female trio, and Maddie & Tae, a duo, and the harmonies the six of them threw down during a medley of country ladies’ legendary songs was just gorgeous. It was nice to see young country artists tipping their hats to the likes of Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.
Underwood, who played a sold-out VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville Sunday night, has a stable of punchy hits that combine country lyrics (frequently of the scorned-woman variety) with rock riffs. Combine that with one of the most powerful voices in music and a massive stage show, then wrap it all up in a package that looks like Underwood and the result is dynamite.
Carrie Underwood is a legend and a icon in country music. She deserves a ETOY win to have on her resume. Personally I am the biggest Eric Church fan and would love to see him grab the ETOY, I been to 10 of his concerts over the years, his live performance is second to none. I disagree with Trigger I think Eric wants that ETOY win, but who knows. I know some of us don’t like Carrie’s music, but she is a class act as a human and performer, have at least a little respect. I’d be happy for her and County Music if Carrie won the ETOY. Just my opinion.
