WHY DON'T WEWhy Don’t We’s current single 8 Letters” continues to climb at Top 40 radio, ascending into the Top 25 and boasting over 130 million global audio and video streams to date. Despite that, the band conveyed a charming personality that seemed authentic. Members Zach Herron and Corbyn Besson are both originally from Dallas, so this show was essentially a homecoming of sorts. Herron singled out his mother in the audience and thanked her for the support, and other members told the crowd that she brought food from Taco Bueno in the green room hours leading up to the performance.

By extension, one might argue, true status comes from having the discretion to opt out of the frenzy. As Sivers shared in one podcast interview , I find it funny when people preface their emails saying, ‘I know you must be incredibly busy,’ and I always shock them by going, ‘No, I’m not busy’…. It’s like, ‘No, I don’t have to do anything for anyone, so I don’t do anything I don’t want to do…I’ve got time.” By changing the way we think about busyness — from a marker of status to a mark of servitude — it may become easier to say no to the parade of endless obligations (from catch-up calls to informational interviews) that skitter across our desks every day.

In 2019, the band set to release a new single each month. Big Plans” was released on January 17th and Cold In LA” on February 14. I Don’t Belong In This Club”, their third single of 2019, was released on March 20. On the same day, the band began their highly anticipated 2019 tour in support of 8 Letters.

Why Don’t We has the uncanny ability to release one single and EP after another, then charged with the zeal and enthusiasm to go on tour shortly thereafter. Some of their chart-toppers include singles such as “Something Different” , “Invitation”, and a song featured on a track by Logan Paul called “Help Me Help You.” For their new EP, the song Trust Fund Baby,” they were entrusted by superstar singer-songwriter to interpret, record, and include this in their current EP.

8 LETTERS was preceded by a trio of wildly popular tracks, Hooked,” Talk,” and, most recently, the album’s infectious title track. The songs have collectively garnered over 43 million streams on Spotify alone in under 3 months in advance of today’s album release; their companion videos have logged an additional 38 million views on YouTube.

Zach Herron used to cover songs on YouTube and his cover of Shawn Mendes‘ “Stitches” went viral. It was the best day of my life to go and see my favorite boy band. According to WZPL, the annual event promises to be the ultimate holiday celebration with two of pop music’s biggest stars.

After the band had taken a month’s break between their last (Hawaii) and second last show (Seattle) of the North American dates on their 8 Letters Tour, the fifth single of the project was released, titled Unbelievable” Four days prior to this, band member Jack Avery announced the birth of his (secret) daughter Lavender, born on April 22nd.

I never thought I would be in a boy band to be honest,” Herron admits. They opened Wednesday’s 80-minute set with one of their charting songs — ”Trust Fund Baby” — and cruised through another 20, plus a four-song mashup of their popular favorites midway through the set.

Known for their prolific, creative output, Why Don’t We unveiled Cold in LA,” their second brand new song and companion music video of 2019. The track follows last month’s arrival of Big Plans,” which instantly shot to #1 on the iTunes all genres chart, with the accompanying music video seeing nearly 5 million views on YouTube.

The youngest member of Why Don’t We, 15-year-old Zach Herron honed his musical talents by studying at Septien Entertainment Group (a training facility for musicians and entertainers) in his hometown of Dallas. During his time at Septien, Zach developed a following by posting Instagram videos revealing his strong vocals and self-taught guitar skills. “One time at school a girl who’d seen my videos asked me to sing – and there was a rule there that if someone asks you to sing, you’ve got to do it,” says Zach. “So I sang ‘Stitches’ by Shawn Mendes, and all these people in my class started recording me.” A video of that impromptu performance almost immediately went viral, racking up more than 10 million views and rapidly widening his fanbase. In addition to releasing original tracks like the early-2016 single “Timelapse,” Zach has since performed concerts throughout the U.S.

Prior to coming together, each member stood out as a performer in his own right. Jonah and Corbyn often livestreamed in-home performances to massive audience as Zach served up viral covers that generated tens of millions of views. Jack built a growing a subscriber base on YouTube, and Daniel etched a space in the hearts of viewers everywhere on American Idol. They crossed paths during tours and fan engagements in the midst of these burgeoning solo careers.

The first single from their debut album , Hooked”, was released on June 7th, 2018. The second track on the album, Talk”, was released July 6th, 2018, which peaked at #1 on the American iTunes Chart. The boy band featuring Zach Herron, Jack Avery, Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, and Jonah Marais is currently living out your worst nightmare. While in Chicago celebrating their three-year anniversary of debuting their group, they all apparently got stuck in an elevator and live-tweeted the rescue attempt.

Prior to coming together, the five young men – Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery, and Zach Herron – stood out as performers in their own right. Jack built a growing subscriber base on YouTube, and Daniel etched a space in the hearts of viewers everywhere on American Idol.

Besson segued into the close of the set in telling the crowd, We are proof that dreams do come true,” and encouraging them to follow their passions. The band parted on that note and closed the hourlong set with their 2019 single Cold in LA” and exited the stage to an enthusiastic ovation from frenzied fans.

The idea was to try to make the leap into mainstream pop stardom. It made plenty of sense, too, as they emerged just as One Direction announced a hiatus most believe is permanent. And no boy bands have stepped up to take 1D’s place, leaving a big hole in the market.

Seavey, along with his bandmates Jack Avery, 18; Corbyn Besson, 19; Zach Herron, 16; Jonah Marais, 19; have brought the boy band into 2017 with flashy stage sets, a trendy look and a dominant social media following (22 million Instagram fans and counting!). But they don’t forget about the choreography and harmonized vocals that have become their hallmark.

Since their formation in 2016, Why Don’t We haven’t stopped. Instead, these five young men – Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery, and Zach Herron – have forged ahead at warp speed. In under two years, they innovatively amassed a diehard fan base through grassroots engagement in the digital arena fueled by a prolific outpouring of new music, constant social media engagement, and sold-out cross country tours where online likes” materialized IRL into millions of screaming fans worldwide.

As for the band itself, Why Don’t We is formulaically generic. The five guys — Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery and Zach Herron — all who have some success either on the web or in the case of Seavey on American Idol,” came together to take a shot at pop stardom. This is an actual band,” they said in a 2016 video of the group announcement that was projected on the giant video screen.

Why Don’t We is a boyband consisting of Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais and Jack Avery. Seavey was a contestant on season 14 of American Idol while the other four members had generated a fanbase over social media by posting covers and live streams for their fans. The band posted their first video on Instagram a day before they officially became a band on September 27, 2016. They also posted a YouTube video titled Our First Day As A Band” as an official documentation of the first day they spent together as a band.

Corbyn Besson had also released his own single called “The Only One” and had already had a following on YouNow. Eben’s nine-song, 33-minute set was a mix of electronic music and hop-hop (think twenty one pilots; he also was backed by a single drummer) that was better because it was far more distinctive.WHY DON'T WE

Stephen Puth knows that the most powerful, heartfelt songs in pop music history are about love. A singer, songwriter, and musician, Puth also writes songs that traffic in affairs of the heart. Growing up, he developed his love for music by immersing himself in classic rock and becoming enamored with legends like Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Otis Redding, and Bill Withers. Classically trained in piano and self-taught on the guitar, he went on to become a songwriter-for-hire, having written songs for artists such as The Vamps, Pretty Much, Daniel Skye, Jack & Jack, and Stanaj before deciding to become an artist in his own right. Now as one of Arista Records’ newest signees, Puth hopes to create music that resonates with people.

Singer Max (nee Schneider) had tons of energy – posing, vamping and running, jumping and dancing (sometimes spinning) about the stage in an eight-song, 31-minute set. But his music wasn’t as distinctive.

Why Don’t We (commonly abbreviated as WDW) is an American boy band Consisting of five members, Zach Herron, Jack Avery, Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, and Jonah Marais, the band was formed on September 27, 2016. Each of the members had solo careers prior to joining the group.

Stillwater native Jonah Marais made his Minnesota State Fair Grandstand debut five years ago. It was the (then) 16-year-old’s second performance ever and he made the most of his two songs and even engaged in some mildly flirtatious behavior with the crowd, which consisted almost entirely of young girls.
